Vanuatu

The Republic Vanuatu is emanated from the former New Hebrides Condominium, which at the time, was part of the British-French Territory and had been released to independence, becoming a member of the Commonwealth of Nations in 1980.

The country situated West of New Zealand is probably not very well known to travelers, probably because it is very far away. But this fact just guarantees the uniqueness of the country. Citizenship by Investment in Vanuatu

The first Citizenship by Investment Program of Vanuatu, the VERP (Vanuatu Economic Rehabilitation Program), has been introduced by the government in 2015. It was meanwhile replaced by the Development Support Program (DSP).

The initial motivation of the government of Vanuatu to introduce such a FDI citizenship program was to raise funds for the reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructure to alter the cyclone Pam has hit the island in March 2015.

The Vanuatu citizenship program stands out due to its processing times of just one to two months, which makes it the most efficient program in the world. In order to enhance the program’s quality, however, the process includes a thorough investigation of the applicant and his or her family, meaning that sufficient financial resources and a good reputation are essential.

The Vanuatu passport allows its citizens to travel visa-free or with visa on arrival to 130 countries and territories. These include the countries of the Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Russia, Iran and Indonesia.
